Fall Foliage Tour 2004

The Fall Foliage Tour 2004 for the NEMC went off without a hitch, and we had the most number of cars yet!! 14. This may sound insignificant, but our typical numbers are 6-7 cars, and managing 14 cars was a work out.

Olympics 2004

Well I've fallen behind again on posting. The HondaSUV Olympics have come and gone. It was a great event hosted by the talented Varmint (aka Kyle). We had one more car than we had the previous Olympics. The events were a blast as always, and amazingly enough mother nature held out and gave us some beautiful weather. The event was in the Franconia Notch of New Hampshire's White Mountains. Cannon Mountain played host to us again. We did our usual blindfolded auto cross, and then I think it was called Crazy Commute. I ended up coming in, in 3rd place. Which I wasn't even trying, so I guess I can't complain.

I installed a new armrest in my CR-V. It came out great and was well worth the money. Thanks to John @ Fair Honda for ordering me the armrest. It was a very easy install. If you've got any ideas of what to store in it. Let me know :-)

Annual NEMC BBQ @ FDR Park

Yesterday was the annual NEMC BBQ at FDR Park over in Yorktown Heights, NY. We had a fairly good turn out, but still didn't get the 10 cars we were looking to make. Even though the North East Member Club has one of the highest member numbers, we can never seem to get more than 9 cars to an event.

an Ogre and a Lamborghini

Yup, I got to see both in one night. This is under the CRV section because Ron and I met up as usual at Mt. Kisco Starbucks. Now we've been meeting there since March 2003. Pretty regularly. We've had some months missed and everyone got busy, but I'd say we've frequented that Starbucks a good 50 times.

Wish List

I haven't posted yet about my CRV. Well the CRV has long been in my life. Well I guess not really that long, but since 1998. I got my first one then, a black one which I loved. It was what hooked me on Honda and I went from being an American car person to looking at overseas vehicles.
